Sam Christie Racing Sponsors

Sam is 15 years old and racing a 250cc micro sprint car in a professional class on a regular Saturday night schedule at Whip City Speedway in Westfield Massachusetts. This is the level of racing that many of the great Nextel Cup drivers in NASCAR started their racing careers. Although there is prize money for finishing well, it does not cover the expense associated with running a competitive race team. Sam's career goal is to become a professional racecar driver. From this level of racing, he plans to transition from sprint cars on the dirt tracks, to stockcars on asphalt. It is important for him to perform well enough at the grass roots level in order to earn a ride with a competitive team in a major NASCAR touring series, and eventually Nextel Cup. This means having the best equipment, and competing at least once, if not twice a week during the racing season. To do this, it takes MONEY. The operating budget for our race team this year is approximately $15,000. This covers costs such as tires, spare parts, engine re-builds, fuel, travel expenses, and entry fees.
	What are the benefits to you of sponsoring our race team? Well, since there is no television coverage, or large spectator base at the track, sponsorship at this level is not for the purpose of marketing products or branding a company's identity. The real benefit to you comes from the satisfaction of helping a young man realize his lifelong dream of racing in the Nextel Cup Series. Without the support of friends, family, and race fans, Sam would not have the opportunity to race. Imagine what it might feel like to someday turn on your television on a Sunday afternoon and see Sam racing knowing that you had something to do with that success. Any amount (and I mean "any" amount) will be greatly appreciated. If you contribute $500 and above, we will put your name, or the name of you're company, on the wing of our sprint car, or side panels depending on the space available. We will send you a letter confirming as a team sponsor, along with an autographed picture of Sam with the racecar.
